Lodz Airport

Lodz has its own airport offering connections with London, Copenhagen, Oslo or Tel Aviv among others. The airport website is http://lotnisko.lodz.pl/en

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A taxi from the airport to the conference center should cost below 30 zloty. Here is the conference center's location:

By public transportation: take bus 55 from the airport and alight at Politechniki (approx. 10 minutes). Change for tram 15 or 15A going in the direction Telefoniczna and alight at Rondo Soldarnosci or Matejki (approximately 27 minutes). The conference center is within 5 minute walk, in a tall yellow building.

You will need to buy your ticket in advance (tram/bus drivers usually have them too, slightly more expensive); you can buy a ticket for 20 or 40 minutes, depending which station you will be arriving at.

 

 

Warsaw Airport

Once at the airport, direct yourself to the train station. Go to Warszawa Zachodnia (approximately 15 minutes, trains go every 30 minutes and tickets can be bought on the train).

From Warszawa Zachodnia you need to change into a train going to Lodz Widzew: if you buy your ticket on the train it costs 10 zloty more and has to be bought first thing after you enter the train through its first door. From Lodz Widzew station to the conference center you may take a taxi (below 30 zloty), or use public transportation: take bus 85 or 85A going to Dworzec Polnocny and alight at Narutowicza (15-20 minutes). The conference center is a tall yellow building within 4 minute walk.

You will need to buy your ticket in advance (tram/bus drivers usually have them too, slightly more expensive); you can buy a ticket for 20 or 40 minutes, depending which station you will be arriving at.
